If you’ve ever driven to or from the Far West side of San Antonio, you know the struggle. Residents, builders, and developers alike in Homeowners Associations (HOAs) and Condominium Owners Associations have suffered enough at the hand of the San Antonio traffic.
The 1604 Loop is notorious for hijacking one to three hours of your life without regard for any sense of your urgency—that means you better leave a bit earlier for those dinner reservations or the next party will get your table! The good news is some of the latest San Antonio legislation is seeking to change the traffic issues. According to a recent article from Biz Journals, Bexar County approved funding to expand the 1604 Loop from US Highway 90 to Culebra Road.
This will create an opportunity for more homeowners to attend their HOA and Condominium Owners Association meetings if they are scheduled earlier. That’ll certainly influence any communities struggling to obtain quorum while balancing earlier HOA meetings. I would recommend to all real estate agents, homebuilders, and land developers to utilize the article to combat any sales related issues with traffic. Homebuyers will see an improvement in the flow of traffic in that corridor before long. Hopefully this will help me get some much needed tee times at the some of the local country clubs around there.
I do anticipate this was a strategic move on the part of Bexar County and by extension, San Antonio. This will enable larger corporations and operations to move here as the cost of land is much less than elsewhere in the country. This will ultimately lead to more sales within HOAs and Condominium Owners Associations.
